    Default mono blocking

    I am interested in two cambridge audio 840w power amps which can run as 2channel and monoblock. I want to use 2 of these 2 drive RTi A9s they reted 200/channel 8ohm -500W mono. I have an AVr with outputs. I need hook up advice for these two Amps

    Would two Emotiva monoblock UPA-1's do ya? 450 shipped lil over a year old bro.

    Don't bridge them as you will most likely loose sound quality. Bi-amp them vertically with one amplifier per speaker, using the left and right channels per amp to power the top and bottom sets of the binding posts. This allows you to use a separate power supply per speaker.

    Thanks. Will do bt 1st I have to buy these amps. Is ther a necessity for a sub woofer?

    The A9's go pretty deep all by themselves if you give them some power

    I do not prefer a subwoofer with full range speakers that go low enough, but that's just me.

    You will not need a sub with those speakers.

    I don't have sub in the system. The A9s are pretty powerful and have capability to cover low bass. Try without it. See if you like it,
