Default New MIT Cable Demo/Review Program?

I'd like to get your feedback on a possible new MIT cable demo/review program. Please review the following link for the product info, http://www.audiobilityuk.net/pdf/mitstyleline2013.pdf

What I would like to know is your level of interest in the demo program. It would be run as all the past programs were with the exception of the Flea Market feedback requirement since that no longer works. For more info on the rules/requirements please read the first post here, http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...Review-Round-4

I would also like to know which version of the StyleLine series you would like to demo. This may help you decide, the speaker cables are list priced at $499.00, $799.00, and $1199.00. The interconnects are list priced at $199.00, $299.00, and $499.00. As you can see, this series is focused on being more affordable while still offering the performance MIT is known for.

I should add that the demo would consist of (2) one meter interconnects and (1) 10 foot pair of speaker cables. If there is interest in other offerings in this series, let me know.

Please post your interest in the program and which version you would like to demo. I'll give it a week or so and see what we've got.

If only receiving 2 of each cable I would rather have the StyleLine SL 12 and balanced StyleLine SL6 to put through the paces with the Anthem D2 pre and Anthem mca amp

Edit: It would be nice to have the StyleLine SL8 if made available for us to Beta test

Not interested, but thanks for offering this, and I enjoyed being part of the last demo. It's a great way to try different cables, and thank you for coordinating it.

I would be interested in the lower priced options in the series.
I am a firm believer in cables making a difference in a system but have this tendency to start at the "bottom" line offerings and work my way up if their offerings make a difference in my system.
i.e. I am more likely to demo the lower end stuff but more likely to purchase the higher end models.

Will any of these work with the Dodd?

Tom, I have no idea as I'm really not sure why the Dodd pre amp and the Shotgun cables didn't like each other.

Jesse, who do I need to contact to find out such information? I'd love to demo some more MIT's and place them up against the Transparent cables.

I'd love to demo the entry level speaker cables, or any of them for that matter! Definitely in if this happens.

3 people so far, what's the deal folks? This is a great opportunity to try out MIT cables in your own rig for nothing more than the cost of shipping and a few minutes of your time to write a review.

Would there be greater interest in a higher end series or what?

I enjoyed demo'ing the Shotguns very much. I wonder if most of the folks who were interested have run through the program?

Folks this demo is about the best one you can find around. I got to demo cables worth like 2k total for only 50 bucks shipped. Its even better than using a return policy because I was out NOTHING the whole time until it came time to ship em.

If you are on the fence about cables making a difference or not, hop on this. You wont find a better opportunity out there. Doesnt mean you have to rush out any buy Shotguns or whatever model you demo, but maybe it will nudge you to spend some cash on something better than Monoprice.

I hope it would not cost $50 to ship some entry level cables or mid rangers like these

PFB, shipping costs are determined in part by the distance one has to ship to the next person and also by the required insurance. In the case of the S3.3's the required insurance amount was $1650.00, which was half of the actual value. $50.00 or so to demo cables worth $3300.00 is surely a small price to pay. Of course, these would cost less to insure and in turn, cost less to ship.

As I noted in the original S3.3 demo, "Please be aware that the shipping cost may be more than you realize. If you can't handle that, don't sign up."

That very well may be the case as I ran out of folks wanting to demo the S3.3's......hard to believe actually.

Would there be more interest if the program was geared more towards HT? Maybe include a single speaker cable for your center channel with or without the interconnects? How about an HDMI or USB cable?

HDMI and or USB would be cool for those of us going digital with USB DAC's and for folks with blu-ray players. Maybe even powercords?

I would be interested in trying it out and comparing some of the new stuff vs. the shotguns I'm currently running. That or even trying something higher end such as the Magnum series. However, I think the newer stuff would be a good trial as its a less expensive way to get into the MIT chain.

I didn't demo the 3.3's but would be up for a new and different demo if it was offered.

I had the good experience of trying some MIT ICs awhile back in my 2ch rig, so it's not like I don't want to give 'em a shot, just figured I would stay out and let others give them a try.

For the record, I would try any of these new cables out if they were available. I would also not mind trying some HT cables (HDMI) or their power cords, so put me down as interested in those too.

My only [silly?] question - what would I do for an interconnect cable for my SDAs?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I would be interested in a program like that. Including the center channel speaker wire would be cool. An HDMI and a USB would really round off a full MIT system.
If you put that together sign me up. I'm always up for some cable shootouts and listening.

I have been very interested in both programs, but the way my 2-ch is set up, I would need min 15ft speaker cables.

I would be able to try out interconnects, and probably most interested in the lowest priced options as those would potentially be ones that I could budget at some point.

Jesse, I'll participate in the cable demo. I could use some economically priced cables for the office rig. Currently using home brew Canare 4S11 and MIT T2's and basic USB. It would be nice to see how their current more entry level stuff performs.
