Default lost the bi-amp jumpers - Polk Monitor 70's

So I used to have my Monitor 70's bi-amped and I stashed the jumpers away someplace "safe".

I just bought a new amp/new cables and need to go with a single-amp setup.

Needless to say, I have no clue what I did with them and I have no idea where I can get some replacements.

Any leads on where I could purchase jumpers?

regular old speaker wire is suppose to be an upgrade over the factory strap metal jumpers.

Thanks! I didn't know I could just cut a small piece of wire to do the job instead.

Yep, some high quality wire is far better than the straps.

Yeah I "lose" mine on purpose and just put some good quality cable, preferably the ones you're using in your system. I had to dig mine back when I sold my RF82's because the guy didn't want the Kimber Kable jumpers I made

thanks again for the quick responses.

I wired short 4" pieces into terminal with just bare wire. I think it will do the job.

I guess if I wanted to do it right, I would need to get some spade/banana connectors.

Never hurts to add them, always a good project for when you're bored but not necessary to get the job done. Did you notice any difference?

Well, these speakers were originally part of a HT setup, but I have had them in storage for a year or two--had to scale back the HT due to space issues.

I recently moved and got a good deal on a Marantz PM5004 ($185 Amazon Warehouse), so I dug the M70s out of storage to use in a stereo setup.

long story short--I don't really recall what they USED to sound like.

HOWEVER, I am liking the sound now. The Marantz is only 35 watts and I feel like the sound is missing a little "oompf" but it's a small room, I am no audiophile, and the price was right.

Right on. That's a good deal on the Marantz for sure, the 70's do like power though

They sounded awful nice powered by a 100wpc NAD receiver. Seemed pretty efficient tho/ 35wpc should get you going nicely. Enjoy.
