    Default Sub Weirdness

My sub, a JBL CSS10 has started to rumble for no appearant reason. Even with the AVR off, it just sits there and makes noises. I have checked all the connections and settings. Whats up?

Steady hum/rumble or does it sound like it is changing frequnecy up and down as well as changing volume level?
A steady hum would most likely indicate a ground loop issue.

Its sporadic. Not a steady hum. More of a rumble on and off

Assuming the sib is set to auto, have you tried it with setting set to on? If so does it still happen?

    Maybe an internal amplifier problem?
