Default US OPEN - GOLF not TENNIS

You have to appreciate the class that comes with the golf industry. Speaking for myself I am proud to be a golfer and enjoy associating with my fellow golfers.

It is nice to see/hear a guy like Phil Mickelson represent himself and his family in a respectful manor. What ever happened to having respect for oneself, family and country? I am not a Phil fan by the way just an old school guy I guess. When I see interviews with athletes, especially basketball, I do have to wonder what went wrong.
How the hell did they graduate from grade school no less college

By the way I am not a stuck up audio guy. I am a Rhode Islander, now anyway, who goes clamming, fishing, hunting and eats what I harvest.

Enough of my rant and I did tame it down a bit

Sure would love to see Steve Stricker win.

I would rather watch the tennis US Open.. Fast pace, sweat, and one hell of a work out. Golf is hit the ball really far, and walk slowly to the ball. Don't get me wrong golf is an art, and fun to play, but boring as hell to watch. It's great for a Sunday afternoon nap though..

I miss playing tennis, and racquetball..

For the guys in the Open, yes. For the typical amateur, not quite so far...

Way to much commentary on this Open, and the constant repeat of the history of Merion and not enough golf...recording it and fast forwarding throughout the day

Lucky for Luke Donald for the shot off that young ladies head or the ball would have gone into the trees. She received a golf glove from Luke for her effort.

I like watching Phil play, but I've been nearby when he's hit an errant shot and let's just say he's not the saint everyone thinks he is. The difference between him and someone like Tiger isn't as wide as the media would have you think. He's one of the handful of guys I'll actually dial in to watch though. When it comes to watching I'm more of a casual fan, if he, Rory or Tiger are not playing I generally won't watch unless it's a big tournament.

    That was me!!

Actually I never shank a ball I just hit a hook when over swinging.

Tiger Woods is fine it's just the media coverage that sucks.
