I recently purchased a Adcom GFP-710 preamp. The pre itself if in great condition cosmetically and came in the original packaging with remote. However the phono section is not working. I bought it off of that large auction site for a reasonable price, that being a working price. I have been in communication with the seller for quite a while and he claims it was working when he sent it and that anything wrong, must of occurred during transit. I have talked to a few techs and they both said that my problem was not done during shipping but by somebody hooking up a source other then a turntable to the phono input. I have informed the seller of this and he still claims it was working when sent. My question is this, do I file a complaint and possibly get my money back and send the pre back to the seller OR do I just forget about it and have the pre completely serviced and add it to my collection? I dont really know where this pre falls into place compared to other pre amps.
