Default Passive woofer, what gauge wire should I use

    I built this setup http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...own-XLS-review
I am not liking the amp over where the sub is. I would prefer to have it in my tv stand. The problem I have and the reason for my question is that the sub is in the opposite corner of my room. Its about 30ft of wire run. What gauge would be good to use and is it even a good Idea to do that run. Max ouput of the amp is 700watt if that even matters

Unless the real impedance of a sub is very low.
I think that 12 AWG would be good.

its 8 ohm at most I might end up getting a 4 woofer. The amp is only stable to 4 ohms bridged I believe

12ga will be fine, and IIRC, it's also the largest you can use for a Speakon connection.
