    Default Will this work?

I actually have a newbie question because it's something I've never needed to try, until now. On my computer rig I have a DAC that feeds a headphone setup, I also have some Focal XS Book desktop speakers in that rig now (very good by the way) and I'd like to get those integrated more. I've just been manually switching back and forth between those and the headphones and I'm using both frequently enough that this has now become a pain in the ass. I don't really want to buy a new dac that has two sets of analog outputs, don't really want to buy an new DAC at all actually.

So...can I take the outputs of the DAC and run a y splitter, to give me two sets of outputs? Is it really that simple? Seems I would get a drop in signal on both ends, no? Are there small devices that can do this better? Surely I'm not the first person that's needed to do this?

    Thoughts?

Yeah I was typing that I was joking to myself that it's a rough life, then I started humming "It's a hard knocks life" to myself...

I'd at least give it a shot, your putting something else in the chain so you may notice a difference. Drop by a ratshack and pick one up for a few bucks, if it works you may want to try a better splitter. IMHO, you'll be fine.

Oh and DSkip, that was too funny.
