    Default Quick Biamping Question!

    Hey everyone,

    Really quick question...

I am biamping my rti a7s from my pio amp. Ive read both ways about which channel goes to which. Should the front channel go to the lower connector and the surround back go to the upper connector or the other way around?

Bi-amping requires separate power amps (each having its own power supply) and active crossovers. You have neither and therefore are not actually bi-amping. What you are doing is reducing the amount of power available to each channel.

It doesn't matter which way you hook it up as the same signal is going to both terminals. Try it, but it will make little difference as the receiver is not giving "more" or "better" power in that mode. It's a gimmick pretty much.
