Default IF you could clone one person....who?

I don't want this to devolve into some socio-religious debate, so please stay away from politics!

    My choice: Jimi Hendrix
Why: He wasn't done yet, and I REALLY would like to know what music would sound like today, if he had survived until the present.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Jimi Hendrix? Really? Was he a Game changer? Yes, Overated? God Yes!!! No different then that Nirvana guy that thought it would be cool to eat a bullet from a gun. Game changer? Yes, Overated? God yes!!

Sorry, I know there are many fans, and I like some songs from both of them, I just never understood the hype..

How about one of the great men with balls to get this country back where it needs to be. We don't need another drug addict artist, not even Jimi..

First impulse here was for Reagan as well. Then thoughts went to John Lennon. In my bones however, the one man I would clone would be George Washington. Without his careful and diligent stewardship our nation would not have even known Ronald Wilson Reagan.

More than any other man, Washington laid the foundation upon which a Nation rose. He could have been made a King for his selfless devotion to country. Time and again, he willingly laid down his power and walked away, only to be summoned to lead again. At one point he actually save the new nation from being sacked by the Continental Army. They had not been paid in months for their service and sacrifice and were actively preparing to march on Philadelphia when Washington received word of the coming rebellion. His calm demeanor and his impassioned address to his troops prevented the American Revolution from turning into complete anarchy.

Who better to lead a return to our founding principles than the man that single-handedly demonstrated what it means to truly be an American.

Granted, Reagan was a funny guy whose main skill was reading a tele-prompter, but I'm not sure that is worth cloning. Anyway, if only one person could be cloned then I guess I would go with Wernher von Braun. We need someone with a vision to get the space program back on track.

Of course, we all know a clone, while looking like the original, will be a completely different person, but this is fun.

I do believe it was Bluefox that went down that path, not I. I simply made an obvious and simple comparison. I do agree that Jobs would be a worthy candidate for cloning.

We all have different ideas as to whom would be a good candidate, but as Blue pointed out, they may be able to look the part and even share some common traits, but the clone would be as different personality-wise, from the original as a dog and a porcupine, so no need to get panties all in a bunch over this. (in no way am I implying anyone's are)

Whats not political about telling those that would clone Reagan that he was a "funny guy whose main skill was reading a tele-prompter, but I'm not sure that is worth cloning".... You were looking to draw a response with that and you know it, so own it.

Now, this is supposed to be a fun thread , so can we get back to the OP's original intent please?
    Peace , out.

It's not a well known fact, but Nikola Tesla was God's second go at cloning Himself. That's a fact, you can look it up.
So I guess this poll is over. Mods, you can go ahead and close down this thread.
