Default Do I need amp for LSiM703 bookshelf r my Denon 4306 will do

    Hello all,
I just got my Denon 4306 AV. Really excited about it. And it so happens that last weekend Polk Audio had a 50% off on their friends and family site. I ended up buying the Polk LSiM703 bookshelf speaker . I also got LSiM704c Center speaker along with Polk DSW PRO 660 wi SubWoofer, all at 50% off.
For surround I will be using two HTS3001SE Satellite as I already had these.

So my question is do I need a power amp for this setting or is the Denon 4306 more than capable of handling my setup? What advantage will I get with an amp.
Second if i should get an amp then any suggestion for sub $1000 amp?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

How big is your room and how far do you sit from the speakers?

First, wait and see if you get your speakers.

to do 89db with those speakers you need about 63 watts per channel. so your avr should be fine. In the past I have been recommended getting an amp that is 200 watts. In your budget you can look at emotiva but many people here don't care for them. Otherwise I think you are looking for used and can search the boards for sale section.

that avr is almost TOTL from denon. it should handle most speakers well. only 2 8ohms speakers is an easy task for that avr.

    thanks for the reply guys.
I will avoid the amps for now. In case I find the sound output lacking i will reconsider it. Else just stick with AV
