    Default Hsu vtf-2 mk4 vs svs sb12-nsd

    Hi all

So I have been looking for a a while for a Sub for My stereo rig. I have come down to the two mentioned in the title. This will be paired with Polk LS-70 and sometimes ADS L690 for music only. The room is about 14X14 and I will be upgrading from a basic cheapo Sony 8" sub-woofer. I was looking for a use one, but for the price of this two units is better to go new.

I will probably also do some testing in my HT setup just for fun and hope that it does not stay there and I end up moving the JBL to the room for music.

I plan to order in a few days. Any comments welcome....

    AMP- Parasound 2125, Adcom 585

    Sub-JBL L8400P 12"
    Player- Oppo BDP-103

I have a SVS PB13 and have owned a HSU VF3 MK3. I have not heard the SVS sub you mentioned but I doubt you could go wrong with either sub.

As others have mentioned, you cannot go wrong with either.
SVS weights 35lbs while HSU weights almost twice as much at 64lbs

If you are leaning more towards a musical sub, I would suggest the SVS, and if HT is more important the HSU.
