I've heard those speakers grow on you, but you're the first with objective proof.

It's hidden in one of the gnomes, you twist off the top of his hat.

Kind of looks like some kind of alter to me. Maybe praying to the audio gods, but that wouldn't explain the fan.

Get some screenshots. I'm curious to see what the picture quality on the projector is like.

100 lumens is quite light sensitive. If you light a match, the image is gone!

I would sell everything in that room including the speakers and get one nice TV. Looks like the goodwill store, no offense.

Good budget for your HT. Looks like a nice screen size. Ive never owned a projector & now with a smaller L/R the 46 does the job. Looks great ENJOY your set up :)

I wouldnt call anyone rocking Maggies a "poor man".... ... They require a stout amp.

Maybe "ghetto rigged HT" but not "poor mans". Heck I dont even have a projector lol....

....This is a follow up on setting up this system. Considering that the price of projector is around $100.00.

    - Don't expect high def or high contrast. Image looks great with some tweaking in VLC software. You will need to play with it.

    - NEEDS a DARK room .
    - Audio from source should be directed to home theater system.

When all is said and done....it presents a bargain. It's a stepping stone to higher quality.

I have it set up for a 72" diagonal screen.....about 12' away. Works great with very low light. Closer is better for ambient light.

Just watched "Brave Heart" and it looked great. Dark movies might not come across as such.

PS...I have only played with it at 72" diagonal.....I am sure it is brighter at closer screen settings.

PS 2 ...the Maggies are original and rebuilt from 1979. They are part of my 2 channel system and only provide structure for the screen.
