Default Polk Audio PSW10 10-Inch Monitor Series Powered Sub with Behringer EP 2000

The polk says I can go directly from the speaker outs from the amp to the speker in on the sub then the speaker out to my JBL control 28's is that correct. I can go ipod to Mixer>Amp in to Amp out (speaker wires) > Speaker wire sub in > speaker wire from sub out? I will use 16 gauge wire.

As far as I can see this can be done according to the manual.

? Does this have an internal crossover? Can it handle the 2000 watt beringer? I have not hooked it up yet just because it seems kind of dicey. To go power amp speaker out to a powered sub. Is the sub made for this really?

From the manual. See Attachement below. This is from the PSW 10 manual. Minus the surrounds and center speakers.

    OPTION #2—
Two channel or Dolby® Pro Logic receiver with no “Sub Out.”
If you elect to use the speaker level inputs, use two-conductor 16 gauge or thicker
    speaker wires. Name: 20131007_150130.jpg

    Hello,
Yes, that is a valid connection method, the sub's bass amplifier is designed to accept a speaker level signal.

Are you referring to something like an EP2000?

If so, that is approximately 350 watt 8 ohm stereo, which you would have to be playing extremely loud volumes to achieve that power, so yes, you should be fine.

You would have to bridge the Behringer into either a 2 or 4 ohm load, however your amp is rated, to achieve "2000 watts"

The psw 10 is self powered, has it's own built in amp. If your thinking the 2000 watt beringer will supply that power to the subwoofer, it won't. You'd need a passive subwoofer. The speaker level inputs/outputs are more or less just a pass thru for the signal.

You will never use all that power anyway. Many have made the mistake, or should I say "assumption" that gobbs of power equates to concert level volumes. Instead it usually equates to over driven speakers and blown tweeters.
