So pretty much "any" dehumidifier made? Right? I'm not sure what I have but I've had it for years so do you have any DATES on the models recalled. Haven't gone up in smoke yet!

Almost all the photos except ONE are of models that have DIGITAL readouts? So they must be fairly recent models, I'd guess no more than 3 years? I still need to see what mine is but it doesn't look like "anything" listed, pictured above! Probably too old. Old school tech is some times an advantage.

Thanks for the headsup, we have a Frigidaire that falls into this category. Will see how this all plays out.

I would hate to be the owner of that company right now. Holy smokes....

I googled :-) and came up with model number and year info at http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headline...e-fire-danger/

We have one very similar dehumidifer (Sears) and our daughter and her husband have another. Theirs is too new to be included in the recall - I've still gotta check on ours :-O
    all the best,

I have a 1.5 year old DeLonghi DD50P, don't see it on the list fortunately. It is made in China though (shocker), likely by that same company. Might be wise to check once in a while to see if the recall list expands for anyone in my situation. Thanks all for the heads up and the info sites.

I finally checked mine. It's a Haier, one of the better known brands in China itself also marketed in the U.S. Doesn't seem to be on the list and, well it's at least 4 or 5 years old. That said. I'd take this recall pretty seriously because if you're like me you run your machine 24/7 and that means that it's on when you're asleep and when you're away!

Just wanted to thank you again for posting this information, we just received a full refund for our dehumidifier. We would have never known there was any chance that our model "could" present problems, no recall notice, no emails, nothing from the retailer or manufacturer. The whole process took about eight weeks.
