Default Are you wild enough for Steppenwolf's self-titled debut on SACD?

That brings back some memories. Definitely on my buy list.

the first thing I ask whenever I go to a house party is "where's the beer?"
the 2nd thing I ask is "you got any steppenwolf?"

That always throws the DJ off. but if he says yes, then you know you are at the right party.

If I were to rate the greatest album art of all time, no1 would be the reverse side of Steppenwolf's "for ladies only" lp.
everyone reading books. Its 2nd to none. no record will ever come close. the wolf rips no matter what. thanks for posting this. I'm glad to see someone with good taste in music for once. You have my highest respect.

I had my first smokable, inhaled medicine to that album. I would be scared to buy it since it might be d?j? vu all over again.

please elaborate man. we're not here to judge anyone. If you are reading this thread you obviously have something in common with the rest of us in here. maybe we should rename the thread to "most memorable acid and grass stories while listening to steppenwolf" Lets pack a bowl and talk about the wolf. this could easily be the best thread in the history of polk forums. i met levar burton from star trek the next generation at a TNG reunion. He said the main reason he did "reading rainbow" was because of this album. I was out with my crew one night and we just came back from my house listening to steppenwolf. We came across these books in the street and the rest is history.

Absolute classic! And a must buy! Thanks.

However, I'm sure a number of fellows here can't stomach "Monster". But it sure had a big effect on a lot of us back then. Oh well. We're so much wiser, OLDER and "well off" today, now aren't we?

Our portfolios have "blisters" on their fingers! OUCH!

Last night I held Aladdin's lamp
And so I wished that I could stay
Before the thing could answer me
Well, someone came and took the lamp away
    I looked around, a lousy candle's all I found

    Been there, done that.
