Alison Krauss - A Hundred Miles or More - A Collection

This is a collection of Alison Krauss performances/recordings that have never appeared on an Alison Krauss album. Some pretty good stuff. Of course all of you AK fans NEED this album (and you know who you are)...of course most of you who would want it...already have it. Well recorded. There are several genres, not just Bluegrass...some Celtic, Folk, Country and Rock. Duets with Brad Paisley, James Taylor and John Waite (The Babys). I really like Alison...and this one suprised me, because it is better than I anticipated.

    From Alison Krauss to...

    Black Uhuru - Ulitimate Collection

Very fine Roots/Dub Reggae. Only a notch or two below Bob Marley or Jimmy Cliff IMO. This is a nice collection of reggae if you want to get your feet wet in the genre (in addition to the MUST HAVE "Bob Marley - Legend"). Lots of Robbie Shakespear excellent bass tracks. If you cant groove to this music, you have no soul.

Elvin Bishop - The Best of Elvin Bishop - Sure Feels Good

What a fun album. I've always liked Elvin's music but I've never had many of his albums. This was a 92˘ bargain bin find. It includes the hit "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," with Mickey Thomas (Starship). Sometimes you just luck into some good music when digging throught the LP stacks at the Salvation Army or yard sales or in the bins at the used CD stores. This is one of those nice finds!

Margaritaville Cafe - Late Night Menu

Contains studio recordings of performers who play at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Cafe in Key West, Florida. Nice CD of music one might not normally hear. Jimmy Buffet has a couple of tracks that aren't on any other albums.

    dee1949 got me thinking....

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited [SACD]

Dylan is one of those artists that I never got real exited about, even thought he was BIG during my youth. I was able to pick up quite a bit of his catalog on SACD. He is obviously a good songwriter and he definitely has a unique voice. The SACDs are well mastered and I'm glad I have them. Much of the music is very recognizable, as Dylan has a huge body of work that has seen a lot of airplay over the years. The SACDs are hard to find now, but if you are a Dylan fan, they might be worth it to you.

At any given point in time, some classical piece. As of today, I have 1291 songs on my iPod in Apple Lossless being played in random shuffle order via the Wadia iTransport. Random shuffle makes for some grreat "concerts".
