    A lot of those artists have played at Renfro Valley in Kentucky,a little 300 seat venue and I have been lucky to have been there to see em!

    This came a day early from Amazon. It's the CD, not vinyl. So far I've only briefly compared it to my old copy, which is the single CD release with missing songs. The MFSL copy is really nice. Everything is clearer and things (voices, drums) are much more distinct. The bass texture is amazing on the MFSL. I'm very pleased with the purchase!

    I'm still listening to the MFSL CD of Waiting for Columbus. It is much better than I even imagined. The original CD sounds nice in terms of extension. I'd say it has some dynamics, but it's just nice sounds in the speakers. The MFSL just comes alive. It has more presence and is more "in the room". Everything is more textured and actually seems out in space rather than coming from speakers. A couple of good examples are the organ parts in Spanish Moon. Kind of swirling in space and a little spooky, but very present. Also the vocal at the beginning of Mercenary Territory is so clear and legible. I hate to bust out the "hearing things I never heard" cliche, but I really couldn't make out the opening lyrics of Mercenary Territory, and truthfully I never cared to try. On the MFSL they were just right there.
