Since putting my Boston Acoustics towers up for sale, I will be running my Klipsch RB-5 bookshelf speakers (probably with a sub at some point) for the forseeable future. I did not have any stands for them, so I took a trip to Lowes this morning to get materials to make some "redneck" speaker stands. I came up with this configuration that raised the tweeters to the perfect height for my main listening position. They were less than $20 to make, and of course they are very sturdy. They may not be pretty to look at, but they more than get the job done, and on a budget...

    Sure did.

I gotta get a new copy of WYWH. I have one on vinyl but it's a little beat. Trying to decide between SACD and a vinyl re-issue.

Neighbors gone?? Turn it up loud.

Played this on vinyl yesterday when Msabot1 suggested it, after about 30 years of not listening to it, and had to play it again today. Perhaps one of the best produced southern rock albums of all time. The guitar work was magnificent. Strat vs Les Paul duels that brought back many fond memories... Saw these guys warm up for Skynyrd at the old Rectum in Philly in '76 and they stole the show that night.

15th row center on the floor. Spent the night at the venue day before tickets went on sale. When I was young, it was a party getting the tickets.
