I really enjoy his first four solo albums ( Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain, Another Green World & Before And After Science) before he went into the ambient music. Still have the original vinyl but usually just listen to the CD's. Can't beat a buck for that one. Congrats !!!

I have always wanted to have some of her music in my collection, and I picked this one up today (used) for $3.99. I know that her recordings are regarded as some of the best sounding ones, and indeed, this one sounds great! I want to get the recent HDCD remasters of hers (I missed out on the SACDs when they were available). I am also thinking about getting "Modern Cool" on Blu-Ray audio, have you heard that release?

Yes, I have Modern Cool on both CD and Blueray, but it has been a while since I played the BR, so I can't comment on it. I am half-way thinking of buying an Oppo 105 for the two channel system so I can play the stereo layer of Blueray audio disks in my stereo.

I noticed the Blu-Ray Audio disc is about $6 cheaper than the HDCD, and I'm undecided as to which I want to get. I have a few BD-A discs, and they all sound very good, and that is playing them through "just" a Sony BDP-S580. And while my current rig sounds very good for how little I have invested, I miss some of the higher end gear I've owned in the past. One day in the future after I (hopefully) secure another job that pays as well as my last one, I'll be upgrading for sure. I know you have some nice gear, and I bet you'd like the Oppo, keep us informed if you get it...

I bought four Tool CDs the other day, and they showed up today. I have listened to the first two, and so far so good. I loaded them on my music server earlier today so I will add the tracks of the last two in random rotation with the other songs in my R&R playlist.
