    The Glitterhouse ~ Color Blind

Glitterhouse was one of the most promising and ambitious psychedelic bands to come out of the New York area, a locale never really regarded as a spawning ground for great acts in that musical realm -- in fact, their failure to succeed only reinforces the New York area's hard-luck image in the psychedelic era, as opposed to the flourishing fields of psychedelic and psych-pop acts that were spawned in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Good day today. Got this in the mail that I'd ordered for a few bucks. Went to Green Bay earlier. A buddy of mine and I went down to a great new record shop that had a half-off everything in the store sale. Picked up a mess of good vinyl, all real good quality and some kinda rare. A highlight was I had asked the guy if he had any Chris Isaak on vinyl and he said no, but I noticed a vinyl of Ruben and The Jets behind the counter, (which I hardly ever see in vinyl,) and I asked him if it was for sale. He said he held it for some guy earlier but never came back so it was mine. Pristine. They also had a pristine Sleep Dirt. Then I went to my buddy's house and he gave me a half-dozen other Zappa LP's including near mint original vinyl box-set of Shut Up And Play Your Guitar, as well as Guitar. He also gave me some stuff that I already had but his was in way way nicer condition: Mothers Fillmore East 1971, Burnt Weenie Sandwich, Uncle Meat and We're Only In It For The Money. Now I need to find some stuff to repay my buddy with.
