There used to be about a dozen guys or so who would meet regularly at the local Burger King here with their bikes, almost all of them looked older than I but I bet very few were. lol Seemed like a nice group. Is there anything like that over your way Randy?

This is not an area I know much about never having ridden. They are nice looking machines though and I can understand the attraction for many (the old Easy Rider stuff, America, the Road--you boys know what motivates you).

Have fun. At least the weather is back. As for me, it's all about fitness this summer. I'm quite a bit more than the big 50 and I plan to get back to my college weight by July or so. Already down 14 lbs. Treadmill, non-motorized biking and weights. Oh, and I've pretty much given up refined sugar for these months. Eternal "youth" or BUST! lol

    Enjoy the road!

Cnh. You must mean between DD & Burger King. By the BIG boulders. I use to go up there & have coffee with the guys. Great bunch up there. There are alot more bikes toward Lewiston LA HD the biggest dealership in Maine. We tend to ride with freinds or solo. My freind Jesse from China get together & head your way. I sneek off once in awhile,as the Mrs's isnt much into the bike thing. Rebecca & i go to the islands or Boothbay Hrbr or Brunswick area alot. As you noticed when you & i were sitting-Rebecca texts me often & says DAD RIDE ? She is my shadow. She has more miles than most females & enjoys it alot. Even when i dont wanna budge LOL .

There are some nice bikes in this thread!!

I've made a lot of changes to my little hot rod in the last couple of months, most notably are Progressive Suspension fork springs/rear shocks, custom order Mustang seat, and new wheels/Michelin tires. It looks, rides, and handles like a whole different bike now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results...

Next spring, I'll be purchasing one of these (in this color). It will be the first brand new bike I've ever owned. I'll be hanging on to my current bike as well...

Thanks! When I purchased the bike, it did not have the stock seat. Instead it had a Harley-Davidson low profile seat that was wide and had thick padding, and it was very comfy. I was nervous about ordering the custom made Mustang seat @ $353 in fear of it not being as comfortable, because custom orders are non-returnable. fortunately, it is even more comfortable. The headlight assembly is stock, but it has the 1-1/2" extended trim ring.

Thanks again. Mustang seems to have done a great deal of research on what type of foam they use in their products. Indeed, I've made quite a few changes since I purchased the bike 2 years ago. Here is what it looked like shortly after I got it:

Just dusted off my 72 BMW R60/5. My neighbor wants to steal it and put a sidecar on it. He's plotting my demise so he can "help my wife unclutter the garage."

I love bikes! You guys with the cruisers, my kinda style for the open street, but like ZLTFUL and Cody, I love to go fast, as fast as I can go. And though my last track day was in '12, I was competing up until '08.

I'd do it again if the sponsorship came back.

Cody's and my style are different, he hangs his upper body lower, but I go faster :D

What's shake'n Cody? I hoped I'd get some rise out of you :D

I'm still upset about TWSW! When I finally land there in S.A. in just a few short years, you can show me where to ride next!

This weekend saw both ends of the spectrum. Helped a buddy with logistics for his trip from Colorado to Road America where he scored third in super singles.

Then today I helped lead a group ride for the Mid Iowa Trail Riders Association.
Not many pics but these three sum it up pretty well...

Fortunately, we went around this road. Because this picture was taken after about 2 weeks of dry weather...and had we hit it today, we would have had 3+ inches of rain from yesterday to content with...

(That's me btw...yeah...wasn't a great idea then either.)

Ahh yes, racing season is upon us!!! Good for you brother, nothing like being at the race track, I do miss the smells :)

Super singles eh? What the heck is that bike your buddy's racing? Can't be an SV650 since that's a twin, but I see it's got a Gixxer front end. Plus it's got slicks........I'd love to thrash that bike, it looks like more fun than a guy can have with his clothes on :)

Oh, and a word of advice to your off road efforts..........dirt is for worms and potatoes, asphalt is for racing :D JK, dirt is where I learned to slide for ever, works great on the pavement.

Love the photos bro. Roost a little!
