    I have to agree....Crutchfield.

With the two $199.99 discounts (for Polk equipment) I spent $1835.00 on $2235 worth of speaks. ~20% discount

Couple that with no sales tax and no shipping...

Crutchfield definitely has excellent customer service and is great to work with but you will pay retail unless they are closeouts or scratch and dent. Don't forget Circuitcity.com. You might be able to get a better deal.

Crutchfield is great and has very good customer service( seriously)......if you can't find the product you want or if you want to pay almost full price ( but then why buy online????) I had a very good experience with Sound Distributers, I think their out of Vegas. Paid $625 for a pair of LSi 9's delivered. Good transaction.

    Why ?

    Crutchfield ...

    RTi12's ... $1398

    Polk off ... -199

    FREE Ship ... -150

These would have to go Freight ... not UPS or Fedex or fill in the blank worth 150-200

    Total ... $1049

Plus the certainty of having a valid warantee and a no questions asked 30-45 day return policy. Maybe SoundDistributors can some how get Polk's but they don't state they can online ...

    HERES WHY

    Crutchfield
    POLK LSi9's $899.99 Free shipping

    Sound Distributers
    Polk Lsi9's $600.00 + $25 Shipping $625.00

Savings of $274.99 For the exact same product.

    THAT"S WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also Sound Distributors handles all my requests by E-Mail in a very timely manner, and all calls were also handled right away.
Hell at that savings I could probably afford to replace all the working parts on the 9's and still come out on top if I was worried so much about the warrenty....But I'm not their Polks, had the 9's for about 6 mo's no problem...
Again just my 2 ...and again Crutchfield is a great company...just VERY expensive for a low overhead online company as they are.

I see no listing ... do you ?

Are they an authorized dealer so that you can have the manufacturers warrantee ?

    What's the return policy ?

What assurances do you have that these aren't B Stock or refurb's ?

P.S. Shipping is a much higher price tag on larger items ... Check SD's listing for the JBL E100's which wouldn't require freight but costs $125 ...

P.P.S. At Crutchfield you'd take an additional $199 off the price of the LSI9's with the current deal so now we're inside $100 ...

The reality is ... there's no free lunch ... you pay one way or the other ...

Well Wannabe, all you have to do is E-mail or call during business hours, they get back with you on what items you are looking for...No they are not an authorized dealer..only Crutchfield is when it comes to Polk, but their warrenty covers the full five they are happy to send you their warrenty policy anytime........
If you got an extra $100 to piss away I'm sure there are several guys here that will be happy to take your money...and I would bet you that $100 my Lsi9's sound and look just as good as anybody elses.....

Well Gregit.....what is meant by best????? ...best price, or best service...that's a very BROAD question...all I was saying in Crutchfield is a very good place to buy...but it is not the be all end all...if your looking for a better price.....I have had good experiences with Sound Distributers as well. Personally I purchase a lot of products online...I would not recommend a company I haven't done some research on and dealt with at least a few times . I have had great experiences with both companys, but when I am shopping on line I am usually looking for a better price, to cut out some of the middle man prices. I feel in this area Crutchfield is not the best value, but probably has the best service in online purchases.

My point was that he asked about "online" Polk purchasing. Not calling or emailing. I could give a rat's behind where anyone blows their money. ;) I'm sure SD is a very nice company to do business with...just not for Polk "online".

Isn't emailing considered "online" or an "internet" type transaction.. As opposed to walking into a store..

I think what people are saying is that SD is cool and all, and yes you'll save some money (less than or = to $100). But is it really worth the risk for the $100. No warranty, risk of not working .............
You get what you pay for. Now SD does offer an extended warranty and thats how they make a great deal of money. But by the time you add their warranty back in plus the shipping, you are back to square one.
THe best value, hands down, no questions asked, is to buy the scratch and dent from crutchfield or just wait until a new line comes out and buy the old line. There is nothing free in life. You pay sooner or later.
    Just my two cents$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

When considering all the ways to buy Polk online, I feel that Ebay is worth mentioning. Of course you don't get the manufacturers warranty, but if you are smart about how to buy on ebay, and there are good pics to evaluate the item, you can get some great deals on used/new stuff. Thats for those of us that have bigger eyes than wallets.
