    Post Banana Plugs

    Folks,
Any experience with these plugs. They are by GLS and are quite attractively priced. Any experience with these?

Never heard of them, but a banana plug is a banana plug either way. Go ahead and pick them up, they look cool.

i hope you are using some pretty thin wire. The Original Monster cable (pink cable they sell at CC, not the thinner XP) is supposedly 12 gauge but it is much thicker than standard 12 gauge and you would have problems fitting the wire into the hole and also problems fitting the wire+sheath into the larger hole.

Just an FYI because I figure that is a pretty popular enthusiast speaker cable.

looks to be a good price.. no way would i pay $199 that they claim is the suggested retail price.

Monster banananannana plugs are expensive. so you're getting a whole lot of them for that price. beware of overcharging for shipping and handeling though.

if you get em..let us know how they work.

I bought the next step up from these guys a few weeks ago. I really like them alot, and the price was great. Cleaned up alot of the spagetti behind my rack. I don't know if these ones are the same size as mine, but I had to fold the wire over a few times to get a good connection. I think they would hold 2 gauge wire, huge!!

New guy here, please be gentle.

I purchased ten pair of these banana plugs from this seller a few weeks ago. They appear to be of high quality, and work flawlessly with my set-up.

Ceruleance is correct, though, they are a bit "tight" on larger gauge wire, including the Original Monster cable mentioned. The actual conductor fits fine--I just had to whittle the insulation down a bit to fit into the shield.

    Doro,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been "lurking" for several months, and thought I'd contribute what little bit I know.

BTW, the whittling was actually quick work.
