Default I want to make my own interconnects

Can I use satellite cabling such as RG-59, RG-6 or as they use in ham and CB radio cable called mini 8(RG-8 mini I think)-it has a foam dielectric. I think the RG-59 and RG-6 are 75 ohm and the mini 8 is 52 ohm. While typing this I just realized the mini 8 was 52 ohm so I guess that's out, huh? Should, if I can use '58 or '6, use quad sheild or at least look for the most % of sheilding when shopping for it?

    Thanks,
    Mitchell

Im a lazy bastard - I'd purchase some Eichmann bullet plugs, get some Kimber 4tc wire........... some Cardas silver solder - call it a project.

I've made a few different types of ICs. Mostly just cheap materials while I narrow down the design options. The best sounding ones I've built so far are also the easiest and they are not shielded except in that they are twisted. Kinda like me.

No, just paying attention to this and other posts, and seeing where I might find the best and lowest price on cable. I know from way back dealing with Belden, they of course make some of the better cable on the market.

    Still listening,

As a matter of fact turbota, I was looking at the Belden 89259 cable as was mentioned on another site/forum. I'm looking at several different places for suggestions for interconnnects and components to make same.

    Thanks,
    Mitchell
