    Not in the least bit does it get hot. I think the thing that helps me most is I have plenty of ventalation.(sp)

    my first hdtv box was the e86 and you could cook on it... I dumped it for the zenith HDSat520.

    Yeah my hughes e86 ran real hot also, sold it and bought the new hughes HTL-HD and its alot better and doesnt get hot either.

    Nice looking setup Grimster. Very clean looking installation too with the wire management. Very very nice and well done.

    I dumped my e86 within a day because of the heat. Not good for reliability!

    Thanks to all. As for the E86, I'm not saying it doesn't get warm, just not hot enough to cook anything on it. Frank, as of now, I'm still trying to get the SQ squared away on the new gear I just got. All this new Denon gear is far more complicated to setup compared to the Sony gear. This Denon gear is so more complex to the Sony gear. Sony does a great job as far as setting things up but seems Denon takes it a couple steps further. As a matter of fact, what exactly is "Ext. In SW Level" It can be set at 0,+5,+10 or +15. What should I set this at.

    That's the subwoofer connection on the 5.1 input for sacd/dvd-audio.
