    Default RTi38 vs. FXi30

Hi all. As most of you know, I'm trying to sell my 38's since I just got the FX's from Crutchfield. But, I've noticed that the FX's sound somewhat "scratchy" or "staticy" with a lot of big effects sounds. All of my connections are right, and I've got the speakers set to small, and the crossover is at 80 hz. Has anyone else had this problem? I unhooked the 30's this morning, and hooked up the 38's, and the sound was a lot more natural. The 38's were a lot easier to listen to than the 30's. The only reason I went for the 30's was the fact that they are bipole/dipole, plus, my couch is directly against the back wall, so it would be more ideal to use the 30's since the woofers/tweeters would sort of be facing each other, unlike the 38's. I read one of the reviews on here for the FXi30's, and the guy who wrote it said he was disappointed with them, and he didn't they were up to Polk's usual quality. So he exchanged them for the 50's, and the sound was a lot better. Could it be because the FXi50's and the 38's use a bigger woofer? I really wish I could find someone selling the 50's. Well, at least I can still send the 30's back to Crutchfield. Sorry to waste everyone's time :) I hope you all have a great day...

I have the fxi30's and they sound great, and i play it loud.. I also have the 38's and 28's, they all sound pretty close in sound quality to me, the larger driver speakers have a bit more bass response though

I don't know. I guess I can call Crutchfield and see about trading them in for a new pair. Thanks faster.
