I'm curious as to what others have found in setting up their sub.
My first setup was the "polk way" with the sub between the amp and speakers, the sound was ok. Then I decided to try bi-wiring so I moved the sub to the LFE output. I felt the mid's and high's improved but I didn't think the bass integrated as well. Then I decided to bi-amp, sounded about the same but I got more volume. Then I realized that I could still bi-amp using the Polk method by running 1 set of wires to the high's and running 1 set to the sub and then to the low's. The bass was much fuller and deeper without changing the sub settings. But I do have a ? If you set up your sub by LFE and set mains to small your amp doesn't work as hard to reproduce the bass. Is this still true if you connect it using speaker wire to the sub then out to the mains?
