    Default Dayton subwoofer?

Hey all, I'm thinking about getting one or two of the Dayton subs from Parts Express. Anyone know anything about it? Here's the link:

FWIW That Dayton sub seems to be the most popular entry level sub at HTF. I cant think of a better sub for that much money (excluding DIY).

Dayton makes some good drivers IMO. I just completed a DIY sub with a Dayton 10" Titanic MKIII driver. I'm really impressed so far. That appears to be a good deal. I'd probably try it.

well, i broke down and bought one from Parts Express. I've never had a really nice subwoofer so my opinion may be skewed but I think its awesome. The bass sounds really "tight" and blends well with my speakers.

for $109 shipped, i don't think you can do better than this. heck, you might not even do better with two or three times that much money.

    Hmmm...

How do you think it would manage in a room about.....

    20x15?

    It is a kitchen/dining room/den --

The mains are Pioneer CS9000 (?) - they have dual 12's (only hit down to about 35-40hz...

Do you think it could hold up running with them, possibly two of them?

sorry, I can't say definitely. I'm not much of a bass head so I think our opinions on the sub would vary. If you want a ton of bass I'd probably say get something bigger just to be safe. Then again, I'm not sure how two together would sound, and it would still be relatively cheap (around $200) for two 10" subwoofers.
