7.1 or 6.1 sound DVDs

I would like to find some 7.1 DVDs or 6.1, I have seen Gladiator but thats all I know of.

So what's the go? I have the RM6600 + PSW 350 sub, which is set for 5.1. How do you create 6.1 and 7.1? What extra speakers does it require, and I am sure my 5.1 amp won't do it, so what equipment exists that will?
Finally, in reality, will I notice much difference?

first you have to have a reciever or pre/pro that will decode DTS ES or THX EX surround modes, both 6.1. secondly, you need to purchase one or two more polk speakers, depending if you can set up for 6.1 or 7.1 (7.1 is basically 2 center rear speaker's rather than 1, but at this point, i believe all reciever's will just send these speakers the same signal, still being 6.1). hearing this in a system will make you want it. it adds alot of depth the the rear sound stage and it is much fuller...

there is no 7.1 software, all it is , they take 5.1 and matirx to 7.1 or take 6.1 and split from (same as matrix)the rear center cannel to 7.1. in the prossceser in your receiver the dvd software is 2.1, 5.1, 6.1 incoded in dd ex or and dts es there is no 7.1 yet every one is still waiting. the movie cos. want 6.1 discerte for balance 3 channels in front and 3 channels rear plus lfe channel, they mite go with 6.2 one sub front one in the rear latter on thanks, joe

like inthe old doby pro logic it had 2 rears but they were fed the same info so it would be like anning the pro to a dd setup
