    Default Monitor 7b Crossover

I have a recurrent problem with a blown crossover on one of my old 7b speakers.

Polk no longer offers these for sale.

Is there any specific issue with the design here, and is there any "quick fix" to this problem?

    Thanks for the feedback...

I'd venture to guess that if its a RECURRENT problem then, the problem isn't in the cross-over, but its in the signal that you are sending to the speaker. How many more times do you have to fix/replace this crossover before you begin to look upstream?

    Default 7b Crossover

I had the same thought, but this occurs about once every 2-3 years. Remember I've had these things since 83.

I've got the same cross-over in my beloved 7C's and I've never had a problem. The crossover in the Monitor 7's is a good design. I'd suspect your driver is bad. Perhaps the driver will short ciruit and blow the crossover circuit.
