Looking to find a nice CHEAP set of stands for some LSi7s. Anyone have any recommendations? Popular ones on Ebay or even Circuit City. I would like them to be adjustable height.
Thanks!

I would suggest finding the highest quality stands you can get, which may not meet your "CHEAP" criteria. The 7's are fairly heavy for their size. I initially had my 7's on a pair of $50 wood stands, and they weren't sturdy enough. If bumped slightly, they would have tipped over. Then I bought the partsexpress.com metal stands and these things are rock solid. They weigh 25 lbs. each and are sand fillable. Cost is about $94, but you can sometimes catch them on sale. A couple of weeks ago they were $69.
I plan on making a pair using 4" pvc tube as someone else posted here. I cannot recall who. You take 2 pieces of wood for the bottom and top, put two 4" diameter pvc tubes of whatever height in between, fill with pebbles, ball bearins, lead shot or sand and attach together with a threaded rod and some bolts. You can get off fairly cheap this way and end up with a better stand than you can buy. To make the 7's sound their best you need a very good stand.

The stands work great, they are SOLID! They won't tip over unless I use them for a tackling dummy.

Those are great!!! I hope mine turn out that nice.
This is actually the thread that got me thinking about it but I really like your diminsions and layout better for LSi7 sized speakers.

My buddy from work does really great custom woodwork and he's planning on working with me to make some 32" stands that match the LSi styling almost exactly. I'll let you know how they turn out, should be very nice!
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin
Thanks! They were fun to build. I wish I had more patience when I was staining, I think I rushed it...Originally posted by madmax

Just wondering, what size is your bottom and top piece and how tall are the tubes? I'm just wondering because you got the relationship right which makes it look astheticly (sp) pleasing.
