Here is some cable I found here at work. This stuff is 10-4 rubber insulated cable. We use it here at work to wire Die Casting machines. The foundry is a very dirty, oily place with metal chips flying & all kinds of lubricants and high temperature materials. Thus, the machines are wired with very durable wire.
SOOOO, DIY'er that I am, I could not resist building some speaker cable with this stuff. The conductors are 10 AWG. I'm going to build a Shotgun style, bi-wire cable with it.
When I get the cables built, I'll post some pics of the completed cable, as well as some initial listening impressions. Enjoy....
