Default need help upgrading from $30 dvd player

Hey I have decided to take out the largest pos in my system and upgrade it... Currently I have an electrohome dvd player that I use for my music and movies. I can live with using my electrohome for dvds and get a dedicated cd player since I listen to music about 90 percent of the time. I have read a few threads that mention the toshibia sd-3960 which sounds good, but is that a us only model? It wasn't shown on the canadian toshiba site and I haven't seen it on any canadian big box store sites yet. I have also been looking at a denon 1710 which I can get for 248 cdn. I'd like to keep the price under 4 or 5 hundred cdn because I want to get a quality player but not completely kill my bank account. Any advice towards this subject would be helpful since I'm not too experianced with cd and dvd players.

    Michael.

Look on www.audioasylum.com in the digital section. There is another model which is the same as the 3960. This is what you want if you are in it for the best CD sound.

Edit: If you really wanted a new 3960 I would be happy to send you one for $75 + actual shipping. USD

Thanks for the site. I'll have to check that out a bit more throughly later. I think I'll pass on the 3960 offer because after duties, taxes, customs fees and shipping it'll be way more than the actual price of the player (plus no warranty on a dvd player probably isn't the best thing) but thanks for the offer. I will just look around and see what is avaible locally then decide. Thanks for the reply.
