Yes, it is. I have some monster stuff. More or less out of convenience. The video wires are decent, but I plan on getting different.
Bose has the same strategy. They're products are ok, but they are way overpriced. It's marketing, if you say it enough, people will believe it's true...
I smell ass, burning ass, glowing cherry red spanked ass.
".....one Midwest salesman almost totaled a Ferrari by driving it off a cliff, but was saved from the Pacific Ocean by construction netting."
I'll bet he never made the list again.....idiot!
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
Yep yep, and yep. CC practically hangs on the balls of Lee. Must be nice to get a nice corporate hummer every day.. :)
what I find funny is that future shop here in canada does the same !!
the funny part is they use that flat cable not sure who makes it but it's expensive on some of their demos yet they don;t even sell that type of wire. It's not by monster but thats not fair for peep who demo their gear and expect it to sound the same whenthey get it home and don't realise they were using cables that are more expensive than the system they just bought
Monster spends tons. There wires are well built and last a very long time.BUT.....
sound quality is a completely different story.I will go on record to say Monster is the Industry standard. For better or worse it's what most audio companies carry for what Monster brings to the table.it's a household name.Is it good for you?You can only be the judge of that.Personally I don't use there wire anymore.I feel I out grew there ability to further my system to the level I expect out of it.
We constantly talk about wires worth.
I talk about it alot and most know where I stand on wire of all kinds.
Again you have to decide if the asking price of a wire is worth the sonic benefits.Just ask yourself how serious you are or how passionate you are about your system and the value there will tell you what to do.Generally speaking.
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time.
I agree Monster isn't all it's cracked up to be, but they still provide solid stuff most of the time. The HTS power centers are pretty good, although I've also moved away from their speaker wire. I can attest to the quality of their finer lines. I bought some $200 silver laced Component cables, and noticed a tremendous difference in picture quality. Haven't tried Bettercables.com's silver comp. video cables which are simlarly priced, but monster's certainly lived up to the price. Got those at Good Guys by the way.
