Default Do it on the floor

Anyone ever do any critical listening while sitting on the floor? Try it if you haven't. IMO, it puts you inside the music. Of course, you can feel the bass reverberating off the floor. Be careful though, while listening to female vocals. You may leave a stain on the carpet.

Im scratching my head wondering if this gentlemen is serious or making comments in jest? Drugs? Hallucinations? Laying on the floor, closeness, female vocals? What the hell has this hobby gone to?

Listening while sitting on the floor doesn't do anything for me and my 1C's.

Me neither. Just makes my ass sore.

I may try Dan's HASSAN CHOP! position though.

try listening backwards, with your mains behind you. if your surrounds are setup right, you wont even know they are there.

After about 2 minutes of sitting indian style on the floor, I can't concentrate on the music because my hips, knees and feet go numb. Then it's a struggle just to try and stand up.

Such a bitch getting older! I'll sit in a comfy chair thank you!

My impression was that if you have your speakers set up ideally, your sweet spot should be in your favorite chair....

My speakers sound better when I sit on the floor (or even stand in odd places in my room) because I don't have them set up properly. they don't have enough space, and I'm missing the stands that they are supposed to sit on. I'm still sitting on my chair, tho.... my floor is covered in computer parts and magazines... no room to sit!

I'd like to set my speakers up higher, but there's the aesthetics factor to consider. Won't look right, so I gotta make concessions. Polk recommends 28 - 34 inch stands for Lsi7's. Mine are 24".
