    Default Help which sub???

I am curremtly looking for a sub but not wanting to shell out $500 or more. I was considering the PSW404 or the Velodyne CHT-12 (mainly for the price and the reviews i have read). I have some RTi8's and am looking for a good entry sub for both HT and music. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on another brand, or any experience with either of the subs i listed so i can make a decent choice that i'll be happy with for awhile. (Until upgrade time):D .
    Thanks,
    Tye

for 500$ you could check out HSU or a DIY kit, not sure about SVS but look around. It seems to be the general concensus that HSU and SVS are the best .

at $400.00 and a few months time, SVS will have a nice looking sub for 399.00 + ship.... www.svsubwoofers.com

There's a brand new Hsu STF-2 for $325 on audiogon. For the price and quality, that is an exceptional deal.

There are quite a few subs that may fit your bill. Do you know what type of bass you desire?

The HSU STF-2 has already been mentioned. If you cannot manage to strike the deal on audiogon, don’t fret, you can buy one for $350 from your nearest Comp USA. I had one for a month, great sub.

The newest sub on the SVS line-up promises to be killer! It has only an LFE connection though, so be sure you have a means to hook it up. SVS is in high demand, so I would simply expect it to be a Christmas present to yourself.

Adire Audio’s “Rava” sub supposed to be equally as good, if not slightly better than the HSU STF-2. She weighs in at a clean $400 and can be purchased straight from the company. Yet another brilliant sub you can’t go wrong with.

Recently, I just picked up this sub from onecall.com.

Don’t let its stats fool you, this sub means business and can be adjusted to blend right on in with the rest of your system. With shipping, it cost me approx $333. What a killer value!

If you want a lot of bass (though perhaps not the most accurate in the world), check out this absolutely killer deal over at Soundcity.com :

At this price ($249), ($300 obo, shipped)… it is a bargain for home-theater bass.

    Good luck,

    Sean
