Polky-folks,
I enjoy mountain biking a lot, though I don't get out as much as I would like. Anyway, I was out riding today and got to thinking about sports drinks. Normally, I just drink water on a ride. The only time that I would get anything else is if I'm out somewhere and run out of water.
Are these sports drinks better for you before, during, or after riding? I was thinking of that Gatorade water stuff, because pretty much everything else has a ton of sugar in it. While I like the taste of those drinks, they have a tendency to make me sick if I drink them while riding, due to their sweetness.
Should I just stick to water?
