Default Pics of the completed 2 channel rig finally

Well im in heaven now.. The Sda 1b's.. the Rta's they both sound great and will have new sl2000's soon... So heres the completed rig, what ya think.... Rotel power.. adcom pre, Monster wire and connects.. home made amp stand with spikes and rubber covers as the new sda's make the cover rattle as the other speakers ive had didnt do this (no real bass) like the Sda's.. But the rubber feet take care of the rattle.. Tosh 3960 cd, few simple mods done.. nothing electronic.. Iec power cords on the cd and vintage tuner, would like to do that to the pre and Rotel next and also make some DIY power cords soon...

Looks like a killer system. I bet the wait for your new tweets is killing you, eh? Let us know how it sounds when you get the tweeter.

    faster,
Looks good, a little red, but good. However...

Need to give the SDA's a little room to breath. Too closed in there sidewall-wise. Even if you could do no more than swap them with the RTA's it would help.
    More later,

LOL, Every one is sick around here so havent messed with it much.. should have a tweeter in this week... so what's the optimal distance apart these should be? right now they are 6 or 6 1/2 foot apart from inside to inside.. the right one is actually about 3' from the side wall, hard to tell in that picture.. and the left is by the windows and right on top of the side wall/windows.. so i could move that one in where the rta8 is now..

My SRS manual rec'd at least 6' between them. I believe that's inside edge to inside edge. I have mine split 7' now with listening position ~9' in front of them. I have had them as close as 5' before, but they gaussed the hell out of my old TV (one corner never did recover).

Doesn't sound like you can manage quite that much split. Given a choice I'd inch them closer to each other and away from the side walls, even if you ended up needing to go semi-nearfield.

Hope the family gets to feeling better... What's got y'all? the flu?

well being the Srs's are twice the size ya think maybe it would work ok cutting a foot or so off the width, I got 8-9 foot to my seat when i listen critical..

we all have sore throats and stuffy noses.. NO flu.. coughing like crazy the kids and my wife.. Ive only a touch of it as of now..

I think with some arranging i could get it a bit better

Trim 6" a side... sure... Just guidelines "your actual results may vary". Play with 'em...

As for seating position.. I made due many years with an oversized bean bag chair... very portable... and available in red and white...
