    Default MMC6500 amp question

    According to the manual that came with the speakers, the RMS rating is 125 watts for the "system". Does that mean that I can run 125w RMS to each speaker (4 total= 500w RMS), each side (250w RMS), or all of the speakers combined(125w RMS)?? I would appreciate any help, I've got about 75w RMS running to either side (150 total) and they sound great, but I am going to have to get a new amp for other reasons and I want to know what I should get. Thanks!

    this means to each crossover
    you have two speakers coming from each crossover...a tweeter and a midrange

    so you want to have 125 watts going to each crossover, and the crossover will split the power up to go the tweeter and the midrange

    Unless you bi-amp them in which case youd put 65 watts to each tweet and 65 to each mid.

    Cody said it best. The total amount coming thru each x-over should be 125 watts.

    Thanks for the help. Right now I have a RF 45.2 powering them right now and they sound good, I think it puts about 60w rms to each crossover so I'll be upgrading eventually. Any suggestions? Thanks
