Any of you guys heard about the free ipod thing?

Hey,
anyone else heard about www.freeipods.com ?

apparently all you have to do is complete one of their promotional offers (the one i'm doing is to try out blockbuster's online rental service free for two weeks) and then get 5 friends to do the same, and they send it out, free of charge. My friend got his last week, he said it took them just as long as they said it would, about 6-8 weeks to fulfill the order, but not bad for free right?

If you are gonna sign up help me out and sign up under my referer ID so I get closer to getting mine.

I will certainly post pics of the thing when I get it and confirm it's legit. Wired.com did a couple articles saying it's not a hoax or anything, one article also says the company recently announced they aren't going to send you any junk mail. just search for freeipods.com on their homepage and you should find the articles

It's legit, but kinda shady.... so 1 out of every 5 people gets an iPod.... they're getting more than enough money back out of those advertisements to cover the price of their iPods.

That is, if I'm understanding it correctly.

Yeah, that's why I signed up, seems like they have a legitimate business model, so they aren't going to pull a chapter 7 anytime soon. If advertisers like blockbuster want to give the company $30-$90 to get me to try their product, who am I to stop them.

It's not like an lottery or anything you win, if you get 5 people to do the offer you get an Ipod

It works. I just had my mom and dad buy coffee and I bought some myself. They don't give a rats ass about an Ipod and they love coffee. It's a win win.

Pretty much. It's usually young kids who aren't thinking it through. If you have a good plan it's easy as pie.
