    Default "Massaging" your tweeters????

Some guy on Audioholics said he rubbed the tweeters gently on his Polk RTi8's with a soft terry cloth and it improved the sound of them. Took some of the brightness away. Has anyone heard of this??? Sounds nuts to me.

What is your facination (or agenda for that matter) with Audioholics?

    Cheers,

hopefully there was no massage oil on the cloth...this is probably the same that would spray his sub with hairspray or apply gel to tighten up the bass

no agenda with Audioholics. I have had a little time to kill the past few days as I am a federal government employee who is on strike

Learning lots. This idea of massaging your tweeters just seemed a little over the top, that's all.

Hmm.. I only use a terry cloth for my wood-furniture polish. Maybe he had some on there and it softened the tweeter up a bit... might not be good thing, but it might have changed the output a little... maybe clipped the top-end down a bit.
