I made a call to Tweeters online support - and after about 10 minutes of investigating from the very nice gentlemen in customer service, he confirmed (via his boss) that it is indeed - for the pair.

Of course, the proof will be in their arrival.

I have not received mine. I ordered four pairs, and likely will have 3-4 pairs to dole out to the masses here at Club Polk.

I emailed CS at Polk to see what the deal was. I figured I could get a straight answer about this ordeal from them, but I have not yet heard back.

I would've hounded Tweeter to get you the RTi10's for that price. They used the pic and described the 10's but shipped another speaker? Talk about a bait and switch if you ask me...

Well boys, I will keep my fingers crossed for you and hope your luck was better than mine. UPS came very early this morning and dropped off my *single* speaker. This is of course, after I was re-assured it was for the pair.

I doubt anyone else will experience anything different, but if anything should be easy to dispute, this should be it.

1) Not real wood veneer as advertised
2) Not the speaker pictured
3) Not an RTi speaker as described
4) Not a powered tower
5) Not a pair of speakers as advertised

Those are five pretty big things right there.

6) Advertised for a pair not only once, but twice.

7) I was personally informed that I would be recieving a pair

I just got off the phone with Tweeter, and I was told that it was only for a single speaker. Not only that, but my order hadnt even shipped on their system. DOH! I should have just been quiet!

I took the speaker out of its box since I was informed to call back thursday or friday. I shouldnt have done that, this is a handsome speaker - worth kicking and fighting for.

Rolling up the sleeves...

AAAhhh geez .... only one speaker delivered even after your FIRST phone call to CS  . Yeh , looks like this whole thing is going to get messy , and who the heck only orders only one speaker any how (with the exception of maybe some very RARE situations)
The web page said PAIR on two seperate web pages and throughout the WHOLE order process .

I did SAVE pics of the web site price of $174.99 a PAIR (two seperate web pages) ; so if anyone needs any copies of this , just shoot me an e-mail at stereo55@comcast.net and I'll be MORE than happy to send them to you asap !!! The web/page price was saved in MS Word format from Office 2000 , so I hope this will work for everyone needing copies .

heh heh ..thx .

*EDITED below *

I have a better idea , as I will try to host the pics at photobucket.com for all to use . I just hope this will work with the MS Word format .
Iam going to try this now so wish me luck . :)

And ....for anyoneone needing pics , I guess its just easier if you e-mail me directly for pics ; cause I cant send them in a PM .

Going to try photobucket.com right now , so I may not respond back to relpies for a little while . I will do my best to get back to EVERYONE asap . ;)

*EDITED*
Seems I have to change the format for photobucket.com ; so until I can fiqure this out (or see if I have the correct program to do so); just send me an e-mail for the pics . :)

This is the legalese from Tweeter's Web site operator, GSI, and is similar to policies used by most companies in internet commerce:

In other words, good luck but don't hold your breath. The speakers are still a great deal at $350 a pair.

OK kids , (update)

For now it seems I can NOT convert the saved Tweeter web page files to anything but MS Word or IE (Internet Explorer 6.0 ) files . So take your pick , and just E-MAIL me with your requests (stereo55@comcast.net) .

I will try to and convert these files later today to jpg , pdf , etc ... for others if possible . But for now just the two formats are possible . Sooooorry .
