Since I do not have the SVS box or packing material, and seeing first hand what UPS does to one of these when you ship without, I’ll have to stick with pick up only.
It'll be a tough sale with no ship.

I'd pick this up if I had the money right now. I'm sure it would hit pretty nicely coupled with PCU in a 1200 cubic feet room (PCU alone is overkill already). You might want to try E-bay, a lot more local buyers there.

For a small handling fee, its a possibility that some of my family members(probably my parents) could get the sub from OKC to St. Louis sometime during the Christmas holidays for you, McLoki, if you do want it. Let me know if you are interested so I can work on possible arrangmentsget it worked out.

Ask SVS to ship you the empty box for a CS-Ultra. They might charge you $25 or w/e, but then you will be able to ship it anywhere. Explain your predicament and I hope they would be able to accomodate you.

The problem with ordering a box from SVS is that they have to charge the shipping cost to you, regardless of if it includes a subwoofer or not. It dimensional weight, not actual weight.

I was going to get a PB2-ISD box and packaging from them, and while the box was $25, they want to charge a $99 shipping fee. Erik from SVS said they don't have a choice when shipping on the units if it's not free anymore. It was $160 for a complete PB2-ISD container/packaging/shipping for me. I would love to have it, but cannot justify that kind of cost.

Drop them a line, but I wouldn't expect it to be cheap.

On futher reflection, I plan to put my upgrade dollars in a rane pe-17 and stay with the 25-31 I have now. I will be purchasing a ultra at some point, but it will have to wait till my sub does not have to sit in my living room and can reside in a home theater.

Thanks for the offer though and good luck with your sale.

    Merry Christmas all,

    Michael
