    Default Considering System Upgrade Today

I was reading a local electronics flyer on my way to work this morning. They had a great system at a fantastic price. This system should be able to out-perform most competitors system by a wide margin, probably even the system I put together these past years. I think I will go there today to purchase this to replace my existing system, maybe even get one for the main floor living room. Just imagine yourself owning the Bose Lifestyle 48 Home Entertainment System for the unbelievable price of only CDN$4999. Life does not get any better than this.

They also have a Denon AVR2805, DVD755 and the Totem DreamCatcher speakers system for $3985. Not sure of this system package as it is a lower price, so must not be as good.

Yea, the bose system is tempting. Since it comes all together you can trust the bose engineers have matched all the best components together for exceptional sonic performance. I would shy away from that seperates route. You can never match different components together like the professionals do. Even at that, you know the bose system is going to be leagues above in quality.

For life LIKE music and movie reproduction, utilizing their patented decoding system...which must be better than what the movies use DD and DTS.

DD and DTS is good enough for the general masses but when you must sound better than true life, like bose, you have to think in a smaller box.

Edit: You could start with the new wave radio. Did you know it reproduces an extra half octave lower than you are used to?

Do I get the secret decoder ring so I can watch movies using their patented decoding system? Or is that extra?

Hey Maggiefan, what to buy some equipment at a deep discount? I need to sell this before I go to the store this evening. ;) Just kidding.

Illustrating the local cost of the 'audio equipment'. I still find it amazing that someone will purchase at that price.

Knowing Bose the ring would be extra...it could and would only fit your finger so if a family member tries to use it they get locked out.

My oh my. What a deal you've got - <drool>. I'm surprised noone mentioned another aspect with which Bose simply crashes the competition. What about the omnidirectional cube system which throws sound all over the place bouncing it from the walls and mirrors! And what about those expensive super thin cables that are the only ones that can match the quality of Bose. I mean, you can't argue with that fact!

Well all kidding aside, you have to admit Bose is very good at one thing, marketing! They've got the masses fooled completely. It is up to us audiophiles to educate as many as we can. :(
