This is even better. Especially posts #1, #17, and #18. Considering he was bragging about how much $$$ he spent on Polk. Turns out he bought his speakers second-hand and at a huge discount. Not the first or last time he got chastised for writing all caps in an audio forum either haha.

I have both LSi9s and LSi15s... I tried both sets of speakers in the same location... The LSi15s tend to have a bit of a boomy bass unless you do a woofer swap (the DB840 subs fit perfectly in the original woofer cutout). Otherwise, there is no real audible difference between the two other than the bass output of the LSi15. Since you are going to use a separate subwoofer, this should not be a concern.

I like my 15's more than 9's. 2 channel imo sounds better with 15's no sub. Than 9's with sub. Although its very close After audyssey.
Took me awhile to warm up to lsi's after playing with them and some mods they my favorite speakers.

Whenever i cant make up my mind i buy both :)
