    Thumbs up Polk T90E Towers

    My hat goes off to the wonderful Polk team who in this users humble opinion, has hit a home run with the T90E (Euro Monitor 60's) floor standing speakers.

    The fit and finish is wonderful for a speaker of this price point. Soundwise, even out of the box it was obvious this speaker holds something truly special. I look foward to spending many more hours discovering what they unleash.

    Thanks gents - you did it again.

    Sid,

    No can do. Heres why;

    A few days ago I recieved some new SilenX fans for the PC. Something caught my eye - most of the capacitors in the motherboard were busting wide open.... that certainly explained the voltage problem I was having earlier in the week. And there I thought it was just a CMOS battery.

    Afraid I will be out of comission for a few weeks. I am assembling a new case / power supply / motherboard / heatsink. My machine runs like a plane taking off, but after all is said and done, it should measure no louder than 12 db. Fingers will be crossed.

    On the positive note : I got the Musical Fidelity A3.2 back up and running, even replaced the internal wire (which was shoddy at best).

    Did we ever find out definitively if the tweeter is the same or different from the Monitor 60?

    Fireshoes,

    At some point I intend on getting in a pair of Monitor 60's. The only way to know is to pry both speakers open to find out. Word from Polk CS is that the differences are purely cosmetic.
