M1.5t...older amp,very good though
tfm 45...a little newer
You usually see a lot of M series on ebay, and tfm sreries as well, not a whole lot of 45's though
Thanks man -- I'll be keeping a look out...
Definetely looking to get a bit more power in the room...
Anyone need a B&K? ;)
That 1.5 looks SWEET. Dosnt go for all that much. Hopefully Santa will be good to me! :)
Man that'd rock. Get some Polks and 300+ watts of Powa!![]()
I can do it!
:D ... maybe without selling the B&K! :p

Having owned both the m1.5t and the TFM-45/42/m4.0t....I'd opt for the TFM-45/42/m4.0t
They sound better, IMO.

I ALWAYS use an ass-gasket. Never hover because of splash down and back splatter. I also float landing pad made from TP for a soft landing to avoid the above. One can never be too cautious when dealing with the general public. - RonP
Thanks Troy,
I'll keep a look out for all of those...

Not trying to talk you out of more power, of course, but don't discount the 250 W/ch TFM-35. I've got a m0.5t, a TFM-35, and a TFM 4.0 (which is the same basic amp as a m4.0t and the TFM42/45). I feel like they're all good amps. The TFM-35 is my personal favorite. It's never even come close to running out of power driving any of the speakers I've got, just barely even gets warm, and is dead silent when no signal is playing.

I think 250 is adequate and will be a consideration, just depends on what happens...
Thanks for all the replies

I've owned the m1.5t but upgraded because my Martin Logan CLS electrostats would send it into clipping at will. I went with the A500x (good to 2 ohms) which worked very well. I later got a A760x (good to 1 ohm) for the CLS's and moved the A500x to subwoofer duty.
It looks as if I will be getting the TFM 45...
Any thoughts on that amp?

Sid- shoot me a PM if you decide to unload the B&K. I'm not that far from you.

Sid, I enjoyed every moment listening to my TFM-45. It fell victim to a lightning strike last June and if it weren't for that, I would still be enjoying it right now. Good luck! :)
