New Hsu Research Subs!

Has anyone seen the cylyndrical HSU subs that remarkably resemble the SVS design? Is this a new design or is reality just catchin' up to me? Lol!
Just askin' cuz I have seriously been considering purchasing either an SVS PB10-ISD or an HSU STF-2. Now this may make the desision a little bit easier...or more difficult depending on how you view the matter!

hsu has been doing cylindars for quite sometime. I don't know who started first. Someone else might know.

Didn't see anything new on their site as far as cylindars are concerned. As mentioned, HSU made cylindars before SVS did.

I had never seen them before 'til a couple of days ago on the audioreview.com website and I had never heard anyone speak of them nor have I seen any reviews in any magazines on them.

HSU has been crankin' out the cylinders since the early 90's... if I remember correctly.

Here is a new HSU from CES.

Hsu Research’s new VTF-2HO has a 10” driver, 350 watt amplifier, and a 4” port. It goes down to 23 Hz. With an accessory called the turbo charger, that extends the port and sits on top of the subwoofer, response is extended to 18Hz. Price will be less than $1,000.

Yep, Hsu had cyclinders first. Tom V. (SVS) actually owned several of them.
