    Default NEW RPTV question...

Ok, I've narrowed down to 2 HDTV monitors, 16:9 RPTV's:

    Panasonic PT-47X54, 47"
    Toshiba 46H84, 46"

    Your thoughts?

Keep in mind that the Panasonic is freestanding on casters, while the Toshiba will have to have a stand, costing more money, and will be harder to access on the back.

I don't have that particular Toshiba, but my set is a Tosh and I love it. That being said, I also had a Panasonic set and liked it as well, just not quite as much as the Toshiba...

Cool, thanks all. I think I'm pretty much decided on the Toshiba, though 1" smaller, when I watched the 2 at Sears, the Toshiba's color was fantastic without any over-saturation of reds. I also didn't care for the "ultra" shiney glass front on the Panny. The new livingroom has alot of windows/daylight; the panasonic would have way too much reflection.

I think that Panny only has 9 points of convergance and just manual adjustment, IIRC. The Tosh has 70 points I believe, with manual adjustment or Touch Focus for automatic adjustment. I like Toshiba's picture quality better overall as well. Congratulations!
